Moving better can mean a variety of things to each person from gaining control over new ranges, more strength in movements or sports endeavors or experiencing less pain. When a joint does what it’s supposed to do then other joints can do what they are supposed to do. With better movement gained by greater mobility and strength, you can eliminate compensations, imbalances, overuse of knees, low back and neck, thus enabling you to move and feel better.

When someone reaches out to me for nutrition help they typically request a meal plan or recipes. And sometimes they just want someone to guilt them into eating better. The conversation goes like this, “I need to lose weight and am not eating the right things so if you’ll just give me a meal plan then I’ll eat the right foods and be on my way”. I also hear, “I know what to eat, I’m just not doing it. Can you somehow make me?”
And these ambivalent thoughts can exist in the same person! This highlights the fact that nutritional behaviors are highly complex and intertwined with so many other aspects of our life like family norms, genetics, habits, social influences, metabolism, hormones, sleep, stress, economics, activity levels, energy, health and many others areas. Self-guided nutrition programs don’t work over the long haul.
Well, I am writing this post because I have solutions for better nutrition that give you a higher rate of success. You don’t need to count calories, no appointments and no meetings. Because it’s YOUR life that surrounds your nutrition, we work on all the nutrition behaviors one at a time as well as guiding you on figuring out how much, when and what to eat! Portions and type of food are important to your energy levels, body composition and health. When you eat better you function better and feel better. It’s likely better than what most are currently doing too.
